Commissioner for oaths
MANDATORY: Documents must be signed in front of the Commissioner for oaths.
By virtue of his status (as a lawyer, notary, clerk, etc.) or under the authorization received by the Minister of Justice, a commissioner has the power to administer an oath to a person where the law or a regulation requires it.
To be sworn charge free, the applicant must:
Validate with the foreign competent authority that its form, written in French, English or another language¹, can be completed by a member of the municipal organization.
Make an appointment with a commissioner at 450-424-8000, ext. 221 and go to the City Hall at 1960 Chemin Sainte-Angélique.
To bring :
The document (birth certificate, declaration, confirmation of residence (driver's license), travel consent², insurance etc.) to be signed and proof of identity recognized.
¹ If your document is in a language other than French or English, a translation will be required before any signature by a member of the municipal organization.
