Green Squad
An initiative created in 2022 as the Blue Patrol, our student team will return in 2023 and is now proudly known as the Green Squad. This name change reflects a more inclusive approach to the various environmental challenges in our region.
From May to August, the Squad will travel throughout our beautiful city to inform and educate residents on environmental issues and environmentally responsible practices. Members of the Squad will go door to door to exchange with you about the following topics;
- Tips and tricks to reduce drinking water consumption, both outdoors and indoors;
- Ecological solutions to replace grass and a choice of drought-resistant plants;
- The regulation prohibiting all pesticides and environmentally friendly alternatives;
- The latest on the new watering regulations;
- General information on available financial aid.
Members of the Green Squad will be identified by clothing featuring the City's logo and will carry City-issued identification.
