Frequency
One (1) single collection per year:
- Monday, January 6, 2025
- View the calendar
Every collection:
- Over approximately 3 weeks*
*May be extended if municipal employees must focus their efforts on snow removal instead (in the event of a snow storm) or if weather conditions make collection more difficult (freezing rain, etc.) - The collection truck only passes once
If you miss the collection:
- Remove your tree from the curb
- Put it back at the curb for springtime branch collection
Accepted materials
- Natural trees;
- Trees free of all decorations;
- Trees with no base, support or stand of any kind.
100% non-compliant items
- Synthetic tree;
- Tree put in a bag;
- Tree caught in snow or ice when at the curb (to prevent delays).
Guidelines
- Protect your tree from the rain as much as possible (e.g.: using a tarp).
Place your tree:
- starting at 7 a.m. on the day of collection;
- no earlier than 7 days before the day collection starts.
Position:
- Clearance of 2 feet (or 0.61 m) around the tree;
- Place in your private entrance;
- Left side when facing your home;
- 5 feet (1.5 m) from the street;
- The foot of the tree to the street.
Trees placed in public spaces, such as a central island, will not be collected.
