- Construction of a sanitary sewer - Frontenac sector
Sanitary Sewer Construction - Frontenac sector
In 2022, the project to install about 10 km of sanitary sewers in the Frontenac sector began. The aim of this colossal project was to provide more than 360 Lazarois homeowners with a sustainable municipal infrastructure.
This huge project was complemented by the extension of the water supply network on Route de la Cité-des-Jeunes, between Chemin Sainte-Angélique and Montée Labossière, to loop the network in several places, add fire protection and provide drinking water to more than 30 properties.
Now that the most important part of the work is behind us, we would like to inform you of what remains to be done, as well as provide you with the information you'll need for the next steps you'll have to take as residents of the area.
To keep abreast of the latest developments, please consult the following sections on this page. You'll find an up-to-date map of the work, as well as a history of the project's development. Finally, you'll be able to get your hands on two information sheets: one for the sanitary sewer connection, and the other for the drinking water network.
As of Friday, August 16, 2024, we wish to inform you that you may now proceed with the connection of your sanitary sewer line to the City's network. Please follow the steps listed on the information sheet entitled “Sanitary sewer connection”, available on this page, under “Work in progress”. The City has prepared a notice for affected properties, which will be sent out the week of August 19, 2024. The notice can be viewed below: Authorization to connect to the sanitary sewer system notice.pdf |
Rest assured that our teams remain dedicated and
motivated to deliver a high-quality, sustainable project for the benefit of
all. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, using the
contact details at the bottom of this page.
Work in progress
You can now consult the two information sheets one for the sanitary sewer connection and the other for the drinking water connection.
* It is mandatory to complete a declaration of work before connecting to the municipal network. If you are carrying out work in several stages, you can either submit a single declaration of work covering all stages, or several declarations. Here's the link to make your request online https://saint-lazare.edemandes.com/en/create.
* For inspection of the connection(s), you or your contractor must call 450-424-8000, ext. 299, to make an appointment five (5) working days before work begins.
