- No earlier than 7 days before the announced start date.
- No later than 7 a.m. on the day of the announced start date.
- On the left side when facing your residence.
- 5 feet (1.5 m) from the street.
- With 2 feet (0.61 m) clearance.
- In your private driveway.
(no items should be placed on sidewalks and/or bike paths)

Must be disposed in:
- 110-litre (35-gallon) compostable paper bags
- Reusable containers weighing no more than 50 pounds each
Important details:
- If you place your bags after the collection start date, you run the risk of not having them collected.
- If the entrepreneur comes by before the official start of the collection to get a head start, don't worry, he'll come by again.
- If you miss the collection, you'll have to keep your bags until the next collection or hire a private company at your expense ($).
- Ecocentres do not accept leaves or other green waste.
Sectors:
To find out your sector, view the map below or click here.
- The interior sector is bounded by the perimeter formed by Chemin Saint-Louis, Avenue Bédard, Chemin Sainte-Angélique and Chemin de la côte Saint-Charles. The 2 sides of the streets delimiting this sector are also part of the interior sector.

Alternative solutions
Our consumption cycle creates major challenges when it comes to managing waste.
In keeping with the vision of the Plan de gestion des matières résiduelles de la Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (Plan 2024–2030), one way of reducing waste at the source is to use leaves and green waste as raw materials to enrich our soils.
Adopt ecological and sustainable habits now:
- Place your leaves in a domestic or screened composter.
- Practice grasscycling and leafcycling by shredding your leaves with your lawnmower and leaving them directly on the ground.
- Use some of the leaves, shredded or not, as mulch for your flower beds or undergrowth.
Take advantage of financial assistance for the purchase of shredding blades and for the acquisition or construction of a domestic composter.
