Quebec Waste Reduction Week - SQRD

October 17, 2022

From Friday, October 21 to Sunday, October 31, 2022

Quebec’s waste reduction week (SQRD), organized by Zéro déchets Québec, aims to raise your awareness and encourage you to reduce your waste and consume more responsibly.

We are used to hearing about 3R-V, which are Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Valorise. But beyond these 3Rs, we can add Refuse, and above all, Rethink.

This year, during Quebec Waste Reduction Week (SQRD), let’s take a moment, collectively, to rethink how we consume.

Visit tips to reduce waste on Les Z’astuces de la réduction – SQRD to learn more about how adopt a zero-waste lifestyle at home and how to consume responsibly. Properly sort to reduce the amount of material that can end up in a landfill.

Below you will find items that are not accepted in the bulky collection and that you can bring to the ecocentres near you (Vaudreuil-Dorion and Rigaud) so they are recycled or disposed of responsibly.

Too heavy? Too big? Without a SUV? No more excuses, the Carrefour de l’Espoir can pick up (by appointment) your refrigerants, appliances and furniture to be recycled or in working order? Simply contact them at 450-218-3100. You can also drop them off (without an appointment) every Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.!
