Warning: heat wave still underway

May 31, 2023

A special weather bulletin has been issued by Environment Canada concerning the extreme heat forecast for this week.

How can you prevent the effects of heat?

  • Keep sufficiently hydrated: drink plenty of water, without necessarily waiting until you're thirsty.
  • Refresh yourself often: if you don't have air conditioning, take a cool shower or bath, jump in the pool, sponge your face with a cold washcloth.
  • Reduce physical effort: postpone certain tasks.
  • Wear light, loose-fitting, light-colored clothing.
  • Close curtains and blinds when the sun is shining.

Never leave people or animals in a parked vehicle.

If you don't have air conditioning, don't forget that the Municipal library is open until 8:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday. You can also find nice shady spots at Parc Nature Les Forestiers or enjoy the water games at Parc Bédard.
