Trans-Nord Pipelines (TNPI) – Vegetation control

September 19, 2022

Throughout the fall of 2022

As part of its regular inspection and maintenance program, the Trans-Northern Pipelines (TNPI) right-of-way is patrolled by aircraft regularly and on foot at least once a year.

During these patrols, the natural growth of shrub and tree vegetation may interfere with the visual inspection of the right-of-way. TNPI must therefore control shrub and tree vegetation throughout the width of the right-of-way.

Vegetation control work is a common practice in the industry and is done either by hand or by specialized machinery and without the use of herbicides. At the same time, TNPI is repairing or installing signage as required.

This work is scheduled to continue in the fall. The citizens concerned have been informed of the work.

Groupe Conseil UDA inc. was hired to act as a liaison for this work.
