A New Pumper-Tanker Truck to Better Protect Saint-Lazare

March 14, 2025

The City of Saint-Lazare and the Service de la sécurité publique et de la sécurité incendie are thrilled to welcome their brand-new 2024 pumper-tanker truck, a state-of-the-art vehicle that will enhance fire safety across the territory. Ordered in August 2022 from 1200 Degrés division camion (Technofeu), based in Saint-François-du-Lac, this highly anticipated truck has finally arrived after 31 months of design and manufacturing.

This custom-built truck, an E-One Cyclone model, is specifically designed to meet the growing needs of our community. With a spacious cab that can accommodate up to five firefighters, it is equipped with cutting-edge technology to ensure more efficient and safer emergency responses.

A Major Asset for Residents

With its impressive 9,463-litre water tank and a high-performance pump capable of delivering up to 7,570 litres of water per minute, this vehicle will significantly strengthen fire protection, especially for residents in areas without a municipal water distribution network. This new addition will optimize fire response efforts and enhance coverage across the territory.

A Significant Advancement for Firefighter Safety

Firefighter safety is a top priority, which is why the truck’s cabin is equipped with a high-efficiency HEPA filtration system that captures 99.9% of toxic airborne particles following an intervention. This is a crucial improvement to minimize exposure to contaminants and ensure a healthier environment for our teams

This brand-new truck replaces an older 2006 model and will enable the City to meet the requirements of the fire risk coverage plan. Our firefighters are currently undergoing specialized training to master this new vehicle, which will soon be ready to respond to emergency calls.

This latest addition to the Service de sécurité incendie reflects the City’s commitment to the safety of its residents and its personnel.
