The Library, a Lively Place Where Culture Takes Center Stage!
The municipal library is a dynamic place where exchanges and encounters are promoted to the delight of everyone.
In 2024, it hosted a number of noteworthy events, including:
- 12 storytelling hours
- 10 vernissages and artists' exhibitions
- 9 board game evenings
- 7 meetings of the Reading clubs
- 2 book launches by Saint-Lazare authors and teachers
- 1 watercolour initiation workshop
The library recently played host to a collective work of art created during Les Journées de la culture on Saturday, September 28. Residents of all ages were able to add color to a canvas reproduction based on a sketch drawn by Jennifer Mendoza! The canvas now hangs in the library's entrance hall.
Initiated and orchestrated by Culture pour tous, Les Journées de la culture are free activities open to all, promoting greater public access to arts and culture. The event takes place every year on the last Friday of September and the following two days, throughout Quebec.
This year, the City has organized several activities on Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28, 2024, such as musical instrument initiation, photography, jewelry-making, and more!
To make sure you don't miss out on any of the activities, check the activities’ calendar regularly!
