The 2nd Edition of Festi Ouest Was a Great Success!
For its second year, Saint-Lazare's country festival, Festi Ouest, offered its festival-goers two busy evenings and two busy days, as well as a foretaste of the city's upcoming 150th anniversary celebrations.
The festivities kicked off on Friday with a 1950s-1960s-themed evening orchestrated by the Comité des fêtes du 150e de Saint-Lazare. Festival-goers had the privilege of tasting the official 150th anniversary beer, in partnership with Microbrasserie Trois-Lacs. The superb label is the creation of local artist Jacinthe Durand.
The festivities continued on Saturday and Sunday with country music and good spirits. A variety of artists performed, and there were activities for all ages. The highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly the Saturday evening show, featuring Marvin James as first part of the show and the multi-talented Gregory Charles, who pushed his performance well beyond the scheduled time, generously giving spectators an encore of over 45 minutes.
