Rediscover Saint-Lazare through its brand new Web site!

SAINT-LAZARE (Québec), Tuesday, August 16, 2022 – Ville de Saint-Lazare is proud to announce the launch of its new Web site.
The new site is sure to meet residents' expectations, particularly in terms of adaptability to different tools (computer, tablet, cell phone) but also in terms of its more intuitive use, optimized navigation, search tool and streamlined look, which provides an improved virtual and visual experience in addition to being accessible to individuals with disabilities.
“Since the Web site is such an essential tool for obtaining municipal information, an update to the site—dating back to 2013—had become essential, emphasized Ms. Geneviève Lachance, Mayor of Saint-Lazare. Since being elected in 2017, this project has been very dear to my heart, and I am very proud to see it finally come to fruition, not only as an instigator of the project but also as a user of the site. This new Web site is the first step towards improving the citizen experience, and aims to help us continue offering the quality services our citizens have come to expect.”
As the main platform for communicating with its many audiences, the new site will allow residents to discover and rediscover their city from a whole new angle. Upon accessing the site, visitors will be offered an efficient search tool, quick links and buttons to access the most requested topics. Completely redesigned, all of the site's sections are now easier to navigate, making it easier for residents to quickly locate the news and activities that are of interest to them. Previously available tools have also been enhanced, including newsletter sign-up, alerts, and the popular free bulletin board postings for lost pets and items. Content will continue to be improved and enhanced over the coming months to complete the current transition.
Transition from the printed recreation booklet to a digital calendar and new newsletter format
The City is also taking advantage of the launch of its new site to announce the beginning of its transition to digital technology—a transition that has now become unavoidable because of the speed at which information is circulating and changing, and above all, because of the need to relay this information to its audiences as accurately as possible in real time. Residents should expect to no longer receive the traditional printed recreation booklet at home, as the last one was distributed in June 2022.
The last few years have demonstrated the positives of sharing information on digital platforms. In fact, the pandemic and its constantly changing guidelines have served as a concrete example of why we need to act quickly to provide residents with a single reliable place where they can access information on a daily basis.
In addition to being able to rely on the activity calendar available online, residents will be able to register or reserve a spot with one or two clicks, and will have the pleasure of informing their friends and family of activities using the share buttons!
In addition to these new features, we will be introducing a new format for our newsletter in the coming weeks that will undoubtedly delight the thousands of residents who have registered and receive it by e-mail.
