Types of activities offered :
Eligible participants and costs:
- Priority is given to Saint-Lazare residents
- If places are available, non-residents are admitted
- Activities are offered at no cost to participants
The eligibility criteria for the Adapted Recreation Program do not require official certification of a disability or a serious impairment, including by a physician, government or institute.
Opening the participant file:
To assess the child’s disability(s), needs and interests, and the number of siblings between the ages of 6 and 17 who will accompany the child, the parent must complete the participant questionnaire.
Activities registration:
Activities are updated daily in the online activity calendar.
The parent must register his/her child (and siblings if applicable) at least fourteen (14) days prior to an activity to allow the team to plan the necessary human and material resources. The child is not required to participate in every activity organized.
In the event of cancellation:
If the child living with a disability is not able to take part in the activity, the parent may cancel the participation on the morning of the activity, however reasonable notice will allow the team to include children who are on the waiting list.
Please note that if a child with a disability is unable to participate, siblings will not be able to participate either.
