Monday March 4th

  • Intergenerational Day (Seniors and children aged 7+)

Intergenerational day
Age group: 7 years + and seniors
Salle Sainte-Angélique (1960 Chemin Ste-Angélique), 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Free - no registration required

Ado’Zone’s teens, in collaboration with the Comité Aîné and the Comité Inspiration Jeunesse have prepared a day for both young and old featuring a variety of activities, (including making cake pops!) games about language expressions and board games), sure to please seniors and teens alike! Bring your grandparents along and give them a chance to discover the world from your point of view!

Parent and child training - Staying home alone (8 to 12 y.o. and their parents) FULL
Age group: 8-12 y.o. and their parents
Community Centre (1301 Rue du Bois), 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Parents and their children between the ages of 8 and 12 are invited to attend this training course aimed at ensuring that children have all of the information they need when they start staying home alone. Topics addressed: Evacuation plan, contact person and emergency numbers, what is allowed and not allowed, fears.

Family astronomy evening. Discover a world that is both obscure and yet still so very close to us: the solar system, the space vacuum, the polar ice caps of Mars and lunar rovers!   

Tuesday March 5th

Initiation to pickleball 
Age group (12 to 99 y.o.)
École à l’Orée-du-Bois (1355 Rue du Bois), 1 p.m. to  4 p.m.
Free - no registration required

All those between the ages of 12 and 99 are invited to a fun game of pickleball, a racket sport easier to play and gentler on the muscles and articulations than other traditional racket sports like tennis and badminton; the racket is smaller and looks like a racketball racket and the ball is a made of plastic, so very light. Equipment included. 

Wednesday, March 6th

Outdoor family training with Cardio Plein Air
Age group: family event

Saint-Laz'ARTS: Mystéric et le secret brisé (French show)

We all know that a magician generally never reveals his secrets, SO when he does, the outcome is definitely… magical! Mystéric (Éric Leclerc – two-time magic champion) presents his new show that tackles the delicate topic of bullying.

Come discover or re-discover the enjoyment of playing board games with your family! Several games will be available to suit different age groups and preferences. You don’t want to miss it!

Pajamas story time
Age group: 3 to 7 y.o.
French: 9 to 10 a.m. ||| English: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Children will spend an hour listening to the fabulous stories told by our hosts.

LEGO® Creation Workshop FULL
Age group: 5 to 12 y.o. and up
Community Centre (1301 Rue du Bois), 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

90 minutes of LEGO®-building challenges; Pictures taken of creations made by both children and adults. The workshop is hosted by Karim Awad, LEGO® architect-designer for 30 years. 

Saturday, March 9th

School break daycamp


Spring break activities, from March 4th to 8th, 2019
Location:  Parc nature les Forestiers-de-Saint-Lazare
Schedule: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost: $25 per day (all activities included) 
Choose between 1 and 5 days. Places are limited.

You must show your child’s valid resident card and health insurance card (required).


As a complement to spring break camp, you can register your child for daycare services.
Two periods per day: from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. and from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Morning OR evening: $5 
Morning AND evening: $7

Items to bring every day:

  • Comfortable clothing
  • Running shoes
  • Extra change of clothes
  • Complete snow suit and winter gear
  • Cold lunch (no microwave)
  • Bottle of water
  • At least 2 snacks

*** Snacks that may contain peanuts and/or other nuts are not permitted.

*** Children do not need to bring skates.

Camp Counsellors Skills Diploma

You must follow this training to obtain a counsellor job. 

You love children and would like to become a counsellor one day? The Camp Counsellor Skills Diploma (DAFA) is a certificate that enables teens aged 15+ who are in their third year of high school to take charge of recreational activities designed for youngsters 5 to 14 years old. The training is aimed at ensuring the safety and quality of the participants’ recreational experience.

This 40-hour theory course is the first step in obtaining the DAFA diploma. Once you have successfully completed this course, you can begin your practical training by working as a volunteer assistant counsellor at the summer 2019 day camp.

The DAFA diploma is awarded upon successful completion of both the theoretical and practical training.Participation in each lesson of the theory course is mandatory. The practical training can be completed during the summer, at the Saint-Lazare day camp or elsewhere depending on the arrangements made by the participant.

Session 1: March 4th to 8th  from  8:30 to 4:30 + June 9th from 8:30 to 4:30
