Recruitment is still underway.

Meetings will be held in French.

The municipal council identifies the issues and projects that it will entrust to the Saint-Lazare Youth Municipal Commission (CMJSL).

The CMJSL is an advisory body. As such, Council assigns the commission powers to study and make recommendations on planning and development and on improving the quality of life for Saint-Lazare teenagers between the ages of 12 and 17. Therefore, the purpose of the commission is to:

a)          provide the municipal council with new ideas and suggestions from a teenage point of view;

b)          foster teen interest in municipal politics;

c)           provide teenagers with an enriching and useful experience;

d)          give teenagers the opportunity to work with their peers in the community.

All of the CMJSL’s recommendations, opinions and studies must be submitted in a written report to the municipal council. The minutes of each meeting of the CMJSL must be signed by the person presiding over the meeting before they are sent to the municipal council.
