Reinvest in your CIT: buy your bus tickets at Pharmaprix Français
SAINT-LAZARE (Québec), September 20, 2010

Ville de Saint-Lazare would like to encourage its residents to purchase their CIT bus fare at the Saint-Lazare Pharmaprix located at 1780 Chemin Sainte-Angélique if they wish to reinvest 100% of their CIT bus fare into Saint-Lazare’s bus service. Indeed, le Conseil Intermunicipal de transport La Presqu’Île (CITPI) redistributes fare dividends back to their members based on where the fare was purchased. Therefore, citizens that purchase fares in Saint-Lazare directly contribute to Saint-Lazare’s public transit fund. The money from fares purchased elsewhere (Hudson, Île-Perrot, Vaudreuil-Dorion, etc.) is redistributed based on where the fare was purchased. The CITPI fares are valid for every route on the territory no matter where it was bought.

The OPUS card only available in Vaudreuil-Dorion
Residents can purchase CIT and TRAM fares at the Pharmaprix located at 1780 chemin Sainte-Angélique, Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. However, the OPUS card with picture witch gives access to reduced fares may not be purchased at this location. Users must download the application form on the CITPI website and go to the Service Centre in Vaudreuil-Dorion with detailed proof status to obtain their card.

All Aboard!
The official launch of the public transit pilot project took place on August 30. The circuit number 51 offers, Monday through Friday, seven (7) morning trips to Vaudreuil train station and seven (7) evening returns to Saint-Lazare. Visit ville.saint-lazare.q.ca/maps to view the route and nearest bus stops in Saint-Lazare. Residents may also consult CIT La Presqu’Île website for exact time of arrival and departure. Schedule leaflets are also available at the Town Hall and Community centre. An online survey will be available shortly to allow users and residents to provide their feedback to the Town.

Questions? La CIT La Presqu’Île is there for you!
