Saint-Lazare (Québec), May 21, 2012
Ville de Saint-Lazare wishes to remind residents that Saint-Lazare firefighters will be visiting Saint-Lazare homes, starting at the beginning of June. Objective is to:
• Reduce the loss of life and property by fire;
• Promote prevention measures to eliminate fire risks in the home;
• Publicize municipal fire safety by-laws and make sure residents comply with them.
In every case, firefighters will carry identification, will come with an identified car and will wear a service outfit.
The Fire department has completed the first 5-year period in 2011 and during that period, 3352 smoke alarms were replaced or added. This summer, the second round of visits of residential home starts. New this year, inspectors will have an electronic pad to collect data. This tool will save a lot of data entry time as it will be automatically synchronized in each file of the software.
You have questions or concerns contact the Fire Department at 450-424-8000 ext. 207.
