Pierre Kary is a PhD Chemistry graduate. He is a legal patent adviser in
the pharmaceutical and chemistry fields. His work consists of drafting,
negotiating and registering intellectual and industrial property.
Born in Sainte-Dorothée, Laval, he works as a student on agricultural
farms while pursuing his master’s degree in chemistry at l’Université de
Montréal. Granted a bursary, he pursues his studies in England where
he’ll obtain his PhD in chemistry.
After working as a researcher for the University of Florida, Mr. Kary
begins a career change which will take him to Denmark and Germany where
he will study Patent Policy and Litigation while working for a European
firm, for which he will become a partner.
Upon returning to Québec, he joins a renowned Canadian firm in downtown
Montreal before opening a satellite European office.
Formerly president of the Saint-Lazare Environmental Protection
Committee (CPE de Saint-Lazare), Pierre Kary remains involved with
youngsters as a certified soccer instructor for boy and girl soccer
teams. Founder and leader of the Vision Partagée / Shared Vision of
Saint-Lazare political party, his candidates will win in 4 of the 6
Saint-Lazare districts running in the 2009 November elections.
Aged 40, him and his wife, a native of Danemark, have 2 children:
a boy aged 7 and a girl aged 6. He advocates the integrity of elected
officials, environmental conservation and the needs of families. He
lives in the Boisé champêtre development located in Saint-Lazare’s
district no. 2.
