Residual Material Reduction Plan 2011-2014: Garbage Pickup 2012 Français

What is allowed in 2012 :

  • One or two bins on wheels (240 L or 360 L) during the 2012 regular garbage collection.

  • The city supplies only one 240 liter bin. It is not possible to buy a 2nd bin from the city. Residents who have two bins, already possessed a bin on wheels.

What is not allowed in 2012 :

  • No garbage bags (black or orange plastic) next to yours bins will be allowed during the regular collections in 2012. Only authorized bins will be emptied.

  • To prevent food from freezing into blocks and to facilitate the emptying of your bin, it is recommended to put your waste in garbage bags inside your bin (240 L or 360 L).

  • Non-authorized bins will not be collected; only bins distributed by the City of Saint-Lazare will be emptied (240 L) and those of 360 L belonging to the resident.

  • Bulky items will not be collected during the regular garbage pickup. They will be only collected during the first garbage pickup of the month.

  • It is formally forbidden to throw hazardous wastes (HHW) with the regular garbage, including inflammable, explosive, corrosive, toxic materials, and reagents. Let's recall that several important incidents have occurred on the territory. Violators can be traced by GPS and may be held responsible for injuries sustained by the garbage crew.

Placing your container:

  • The lid must be tightly covered.

  • Place your containers in your private entrance at least 5 feet from the side of the road to avoid any damage to your containers by the snow clearing crew.
  • Respect 2 feet all around your bins (and between two bins).

  • Place your bin's wheels facing your house.
