Saint-Lazare (Québec), October 3, 2011
Starting the week of Thanksgiving Day, the garbage pickup will be done
every second week in Saint-Lazare. Garbage will be picked up on October 12, then on October 26, 2011 and so on, so forth. As a quick reminder,
the Town has provided you with an electrostatic calendar sent by regular
mail that you can stick on your fridge, your garage door or main garbage
bin. The purpose of course is to remind you of these dates and provide
you with all necessary disposal instructions. The Town also wishes to
remind you that this information is available on its website at
ville.saint-lazare.qc.ca/every2weeks.
Why before 7 a.m.?
The time a garbage collector takes to complete is garbage route may vary with the weather, and so many other unforeseen events. It is therefore mandatory that you put your garbage containers at the limit of your private entrance prior to 7 a.m. on Wednesdays. Garbage trucks now equipped with a GPS allows us to see what time they stop at your door. If your garbage were out on time, i.e. before 7 a.m. and if they were not picked up, please call 450-424-8000 ext.250 on Thursday morning only so we investigate and see if it is possible to collect them. Depending on the amount of garbage to be collected, the garbage collection may be completed only late at night.
