Community Garden

2019 season

Please note that the 13 vacant lots have been drafted and allocated by a random draw for the 2019 season. See you next year!

The community garden of the Ville de Saint-Lazare is already in its fifth season. It is located in the back of the community centre (1301 Rue du Bois). In 2018, 68 families took part in this unifying and friendly project, promoting eco-friendly gardening practices and principles.

All experienced and non-experienced people, young and old, wishing to cultivate a plot, are invited to register between Friday, February 1st and Saturday, March 30th, 2019, at 4:30 pm.

Registration and renting of the gardens are free of charge. You will receive an answer by the end of March. * Please apply only once. One registration per address. *

Mode of attribution

Gardeners and gardeners from the previous year have priority when allocating the gardens. Vacant lots are then allocated by a random draw among new registrations and a waiting list will be created. This service is free.

Ecological vegetable garden

The community garden is a project promoting practices and principles that respect the environment and whose development takes into account the various elements of the environment. Inspired by the principles of permaculture, no chemical fertilizers or pesticides can be used. The community garden is also a unifying and convivial project.

For more details, write to jardin@ville.saint-lazare.qc.ca or call 450-424-8000 ext. 220. To register, please click and fill the form of the link bellow. No application will be considered otherwise.
