Exhibition Langis Boudreau

The Saint-Lazare Library is pleased to host an exhibition by Saint-Lazare Artist Langis Boudreau from October 5th to October 31st. Unveiling will take place on October 5th, at 7 p.m.

Langis Boudreau first discovered art as a young schoolboy. Later, in his 20s, he studied Art History at Université du Québec à Montréal. In 2007, following a trip to Provence, he was inspired to create new works and, in 2010, he set up his workshop in Saint-Lazare. With nature as his inspiration, he produced a series of modern works.

Mr. Boudreau regularly contributes to group exhibitions and his art is part of both public and private collections. He is also a member of several artists’ associations. A 165-page catalogue featuring 250 of his major works is available for viewing online.

Sophie Thibault presents "À tir d’ailes" an ornithological and photographic experience. Journalist and News Anchor for the 10 p.m. news on the
TVA network since 2002, Sophie Thibault is passionate about ornithology and photography. On Saturday, October 21st at 7 p.m., as the library’s special guest, she will be presenting her lecture entitled "À tir d’ailes" during which she will share the most beautiful photographs of birds, which she has taken throughout the years across Quebec. Nature and photography lovers won’t want to miss this wonderful evening.


Visual Arts Exhibition Le Ciboulot

Proud to be involved in helping children develop their visual arts skills since 2008, Le Ciboulot is pleased to present its 5th annual exhibition spotlighting the creative potential of the region’s young artists.

Sunday, November 12th, from 1 to 3 p.m., is the opening of the Boîtes Urbaines exhibition, presented by the students from Le Ciboulot visual arts workshop.

Come meet over 50 creative and talented artists between the ages of 5 and 12, and discover their original and amazing works of art! The exhibition will be presented between November 7th and 30th, 2017 at the Saint-Lazare Library.

From December 7th to 31st, the Saint-Lazare Library will be hosting Gisèle Lapalme’s exhibition spotlighting all of the charms of her town as well as the beauty and joy of its people through a variety of mediums including watercolour, oil and mixed media.

Painted on site or in her workshop, her art exudes spontaneity, audacity and emotion.

Once the source of inspiration is found, her paper, canvas, pencils, brushes and colours seem to come alive.Established in Saint-Lazare and Rigaud for the last 17 years, Gisèle has been painting since 1967 when she obtained a diploma from the Famous Artists School for Talented Young People in Connecticut.
