First aid training for teens (12-17 y.o.)

Sunday May 19 (bilingual), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

$20 for residents, and $38 for non-residents

The Town of Saint-Lazare offers teens ages 12 to 17 the opportunity to take first aid training that is
directly adapted to their needs!

Your teens will then be equipped if something happens to them, their family or friends! Among
other things, your teens will learn about managing anxiety and panic attacks, first aid basics, burns,
fractures, alcohol poisoning, drug use, etc. Bring a cold lunch and dress comfortably!

Rate for residents: $20
Rate for non-residents: $38

Our culinary workshops are back, just in time for the end of the school year! Join our culinary professional to learn how to make some fruity and refreshing recipes that are sure to wow your friends and family! This activity is reserved for teens ages 12 to 17 and is free of charge.



TeenZone


Are you between the ages of 12 and 17? Would you like to meet others your own age? And discover a place designed just for you? A place where you can go with your friends to do free activities when you don’t know what to do? The TeenZone, here in Saint-Lazare, is THE place. And we’re located in the municipal park, right in the village core!

What’s really nice about it is that if you’re having a rough time and can’t find a solution to your problem and if talking about it with your parents is not an option, we can help you with that too!

Why not drop in to meet us? Our place is safe and especially designed for teenagers!

Teen 2.0 Summer Camp


Registration

Bring your Resident ID card, your child’s Resident ID card and your child’s health insurance card. You must provide the social insurance number of the parent who wishes to receive the T-24 slip for income tax purposes.

Residents of Les Cèdres must provide proof of residence and proof of family relationship.

Registraton will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Community Centre or online.

Haunted House

If you are between 12 and 17 and would like to participate as a volunteer, contact us!

During October, we will:
• Build the set
• Make the props
• Dress up and animate the haunted house on Halloween.

Ado’ Zone will be open during regular hours, from Thursday to Saturday, 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Please note that the chalet is closed during outings!

Open to children and teens ages 10 to 17. This activity is presented by none other than the Ligue Nationale d’Improvisation (national improv league) and aims to help teach young people the secrets of improv, through various role-playing activities adapted to their age groups. Places are limited and registration is required!

Is it true that you’re no longer allowed to drive with your phone on the passenger’s seat? Is it illegal to use Waze while driving? How long do I have to wait in order to be able to drive after I’ve had a drink? Not so easy to answer, right?

Open to young people between the ages of 12 and 17, this activity provides the opportunity to come meet with a police officer and the regional trainer for the Société de l’Assurance Automobile du Québec to enjoy a bite to eat and get informed. Take part in a quiz to win some cool prizes, use a virtual reality helmet to test your skills, and much more. And, you don’t need to be a driver to take part in the fun: even passengers have a lot to gain by learning more. Plus, food will be provided ;-) and parents are also welcome!



Stop-motion animation workshop

During this workshop, hosted by a professional, young people will work in teams to create their own stop-motion animation based on a fun storyboard. Places are limited and registration is required! Activity for children ages 12 to 17.

TeenZone outing: Escape room (A/Maze Pointe-Claire)

Cost: $30 + bring along spending money. We will be ordering pizza to celebrate our graduation from wizardry school!

Do you have what it takes to graduate from wizard school? You’ve got your best quill and ink set at hand when you learn that things will not go exactly as planned. Instead of writing your final wizardry exam, the headmistress informs you that a group of students (including you) will have 45 minutes to prove yourselves through a series of challenges. Not only will these challenges test your magical skills, you’ll also have to show that you are able to keep your cool in the face of danger. Places are limited and registration is required. Activity for children ages 12 to 17.

*You must contact us no later than 30 minutes before the outing if you need transportation or make your way directly to A/Maze in Pointe-Claire.
