Mr. Jean-Claude Gauthier is a graduate of l’Université du Québec in
Political Science and of l’Université de Montréal in Industrial
Relations. Mr. Gauthier has more than 35 years of experience as a human
resources leader with national and international companies.
His passion for horses led him to settle on a farmette in
Saint-Lazare more than 30 years ago.
Married to Marie-André, they have two children, Pierre-Luc and Marianne,
and are the proud grandparents of Jérémy and Eva.
Currently President of the Board of Directors for a residence devoted to
individuals who suffer from a complete loss of autonomy, Mr. Gauthier
was also Director of the Hudson Yatch Club as well as of l’Association
Canadienne de Concours Complet – Québec (ACCCQ), the Three Day Event.
Far from planning a quiet retirement, Mr. Gauthier decides, in 2009, to
retire into politics and to take on new challenges. Bearing in mind the
preservation of Saint-Lazare’s rural character, Saint-Lazare’s
equestrian heritage and its unique legacy, he wishes to dedicate his
time servicing his fellow citizens and to contribute to municipal life.
His priorities include a code of ethics, a transparent decision-making
process and a focus on communications.
Mr. Gauthier may reached at 450-424-8000, ext. 306.
