Gilbert Arsenault graduated from the Royal Military College in Kingston
with a degree in mechanical engineering. As a bursary recipient of the
Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), he
also completed an Aeronautics Master’s degree at l’École Polytechnique
de Montréal and is a Project Management Institute Certified PMP
(Project Management Professional).
After serving as an Officer in the Canadian Forces, Mr. Arsenault
pursues his career in the Montreal aircraft industry in 1996. As an
engineer, he contributes to designing several aircrafts and aircraft
systems and later evolves into project management. Today, Mr. Arsenault
is a Senior Project Manager for a SME provider in aeronautical systems
engineering and information services. He is a member of l’Ordre des
ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) and of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Mr. Arsenault has been living in Saint-Lazare with his spouse Isabelle
since 1999. They are the proud parents of three children: Christophe,
Florence and Jérôme. He enjoys different sports including downhill
skiing, jogging and soccer. He has also coached soccer teams for several
years in Saint-Lazare.
Mr. Arsenault’s political commitment lies mainly on his desire to
represent the citizens responsibly, to adopt concrete environmental
measures and to contribute to the good governance of the city.
