SAINT-LAZARE (Québec), August 8, 2011

Ville de Saint-Lazare has unveiled on August 3, 2011 at Community Centre a marker holding names of 2 laureates cumulating 4 years of service for the Semaine de la valorisation en animation estivale edition 2011 (Summer Counsellors Week). This year, laureates are: Aladine and Kit Kat!

This celebration is a great opportunity to congratulate the more than 75 counsellors, who, in top of their regular tasks, team up to hold a blood donor clinic during their spare times. Two hundreds four persons showed up to give a gift of life! What a great way to give the example and to raise awareness to this great cause! Congratulations!

The Semaine de valorisation de l'animation estivale (Summer Counsellors Week) happens every year at mi-summer. Its objective is to underline the great work done by thousand of youngsters working in day camp. It also underlines the important role of day camp in work-life balance throughout summer. The Semaine de valorisation de l'animation estivale is an initiative of the Fédération québécoise des centres communautaires de loisir, the ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport, the Mouvement québécois des camps familiaux, the Association des camps du Québec and the Association québécoise du loisir municipal.

Not too late to claim lost or forgotten clothes
Saint-Lazare (Québec), August 22, 2011

Ville de Saint-Lazare wishes to mention to parents of children who attended the Saint-Lazare day camp this summer that it is not too late to recuperate items they might have lost or forgotten. Do to so, simply visit the recreation department, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Community Centre (1301 Rue du Bois) until Friday, September 2, 2011. After this date, all remaining items will be donated to la Source d’entraide.
