SAINT-LAZARE (Québec), June 7, 2010
Ville de Saint-Lazare would like to mention to its residents that
Westwood Jr. High School students will be going door to door to sell
biodegradable dog poop bags. It costs $5 for a package of 100 bags. The
bags, which are made in Canada, are easy to carry in a pocket during a
walk, and are dark green so they hide the dog waste while you walk. Best
of all, the bags and dog waste naturally break down in a landfill in
about six weeks once they are exposed to the elements, which is unlike
plastic grocery or other bags that can take 20 years to decompose!
Proceeds from the fundraiser will help the students pay for educational
trips to Washington D.C and Niagara Falls.
To order bags from students please call 450-455-6989, or support the
children when they come to your door.
* Remember, cleaning up after your dog is not only the courteous thing to do, it's the law.
